| Wish I could've better enjoyed the beauty of
today. Did you notice how clear and crisp everything was?
And the colors! Amazing... >sigh<
Burnt to a crisp, but I have yet to give up... I think it's time to start surrendering...
...into His hands.

| So Tom and Jeanine (my "host family") are away in Hawaii this week. Guess I have the whole mansion to myself. What to do? What to do?
BTW, if anyone needs a place to stay in LA, you can always come crash with me. Don't worry - you'll get your very own room/bed/bathroom. (= |

| So someone from my family engaged in some illegal
activity tonight. I won't mention who it was, but let's just say
it wasn't my ma and this time it wasn't brother either. So he -
or she (it could be a she, but it was most likely a he) - was asked to
bring some firewood for a Labor Day camping trip with church
people. And in the past, he had seen brother "collect" firewood
from behind grocery stores (i.e. wooden palettes) to burn at the
beach. So tonight, he went to 3 different grocery stores in
search of palettes, only to find police patrolling the back area -
probably looking to crack down on those tricky palette thieves.
But the night wasn't in complete vain; he managed to score 2 palettes
and learn 2 valuable lessons:
1) Yes, "collecting" palettes from behind grocery stores is illegal.
2) It's crazy hard work breaking those
palettes down to burn-able pieces that you can throw in a pit (as I'm
sure many of you EV people know, esp. those that hung around after VBC
on Fri.).
It's funny cuz after the whole ordeal, he said that if he had gone to
work for those few hours instead of "collecting" and breaking down
those palettes, he coulda earned enough money to buy loads and loads of
firewood at the store. Oh well, live and learn.
Man, if I were at home tonight, it woulda made for
some interesting quality time with my parents. Too bad I was at
church leading a Bible study on NOT STEALING (jk, it was on dealing
with conflicts).
Do you know what YOUR parents are up to tonight?

| I went to Costco today with my mom. We were
talking about incompetent people and how frustrating it is to deal with
them. Instead of calling them "incompetent" though, my mom called
them "impotent." Ha ha, silly ma...
Then as we walked by the clothes section in Costco,
my mom commented that the clothes they had out were ugly. So she
turns to me and says, "Maybe you wanna buy some clothes from
here. You like to wear ugly clothes." Thanks, ma. But
I prefer to use the term "comfortable" as opposed to "ugly."
Anyone else spend some meaningful quality time with their parents recently?
